The Railway Exchange Training Academy (RETA) provides a sustainable source of future talent to support growth and regeneration skills within the industry. RETA will be instrumental in changing perceptions of engineering and the opportunities and careers available.
The dynamic and varied roles available in engineering and manufacturing require a diverse range of skills and capability and this will be communicated to employers as part of our service offering.
Demand and growth
Courses are tailored to meet the bespoke needs of the client:
- Different levels of bespoke training will be provided from apprentice training for students new to the industry, right through to mature candidates and conversion training.
- The courses to be run will be of a technical and operational nature, supporting the railway system engineering functions, management support, planning and human factors associated with both maintenance and new works environment.
- OSL are commited to working with employers to effectively highlight roles within industry and natural progression routes.
- Full size rail training avaliable to provide a realistic learning experience within a safe environment in our unique indoor infastructure facility.
Crewe Engineering & Design UTC
Crewe Engineering and Design UTC, will be the first of its kind in the area and will offer a rewarding and inspiring education for 14-18 year olds seeking a pathway to employment and further education. The aim of the UTC is to drive growth in the region’s key industries of automative and rail.
In support of the UTC, OSL will provide the opportunity for students to work alongside experts in the industry and gain first hand experience. In addition to mentoring and training, OSL can also accommodate UTC students in their new independent training facility, RETA.
