The Gresty Lane Resignalling Scheme was successfully commissioned on the morning of 8/12/15 for Siemens and the Manchester office.
The 9 month delivery from contract award saw many hurdles, parallel processes and even the last fringe design landing on site less than a week from commissioning, but overall has been a great success.
The lessons to be learnt from this project going forward will help OSL improve the way in which they deliver schemes in the future, resulting in more efficient working, cost management, resourcing solutions and fatigue management.
Siemens Rail Automation Holdings, Rob Meggs has personally thanked those involved for the hard work put in by the Manchester office and or all those staff who assisted with the commissioning period from other offices – this scheme could not have been a success without your efforts and skills.
